Lisa Banes was an American actress. She was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Play in 1984 for Isn't It Romantic? and she won a Theater World Award in 1981 for her portrayal of Alison Porter Off-Broadway in Look Back in Anger. In the film, she appeared in Cocktail (1988), Freedom Writers (2007), Gone Girl (2014), and Hollis in A Cure for Wellness (2016).

She has appeared on Broadway several times. Cause of Death

Banes died after a hit-and-run incident involving an electric scooter, according to reports. On June 4, Banes was on his way to meet his wife Kathryn Kranhold for dinner. Banes was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where she was reportedly in critical condition after sustaining a traumatic brain injury.

Banes is well known for playing Marybeth Elliott in 2014's 'Gone Girl' and Tom Cruise's love interest in the 1988 film 'Cocktail'.
