Cause of Death

In 2008, Hibbert, a protester from Fathers 4 Justice, climbed a gantry on the M25 dressed as Batman and displayed a banner with photos of his eight-year-old daughter, stopping thousands of cars. He was eventually arrested on suspicion of causing danger to road users.

Speaking at the time, he said, "I can't describe how it makes me feel not being able to see her.

“If I had taken her, she would be in jail for kidnapping, but my ex can do it and she is fine. Where is the justice? "

Today, Mr. Hibbert's devastated brother appeared at his house, where there is still a white police tent in the front yard. Frank Hibbert said: "I was going to go visit him yesterday, and when I saw a bunch of cops and blue lights and the cordoned off road, I knew it was my brother's house right away.

"The police will not tell me anything, even though I have said that he is my brother. We saw a 52-year-old man arrested, but that's all we know. I want to know what will happen to his son, he is only two or three years old and is my main concern. Geoffrey and I disagreed all the time, but as brothers and family we have helped each other in the past. I know if he had asked him to do me a favor, he would have done it."

"Geoffrey repairs bicycles and has a small sheep farm somewhere nearby, although I have never been there. Now I have to go and tell all this to my dad who lives in London, but I still don't know anything about what happened. I just want to know what's going on with the child and I want justice to be served for whatever happened."

Caz Marshall, 21, said: "I heard it was Geoffrey and Michelle Hibbert, from a neighbor who is in contact with an elderly woman who lives on the street.

"I thought I heard some fireworks when I woke up around 3 am on Sunday to go to the bathroom. We had the windows closed so it was a bit muffled, but it sounded like fireworks. There were people who said it could have been a knocked-down door, but there were four or five in quick succession.

"It's usually very quiet down there."

"Everything today and yesterday they have been searching the apartment. I think it is related to the double murder, that is the rumor that circulates."

Chief Inspector Matthew Reeves said: “This is a shocking incident and I understand that members of the local community will be concerned. We have several officers working hard at the site and there will be an increased police presence in the area.
