Loved ones have identified the woman killed Sunday night in Uptown as Deona Marie Erickson. Four people were injured in the incident, and Erickson's injuries were fatal. Just 24 hours before her death, she had just posted on her Facebook page about the importance of next week, noting that she would turn 32 on Wednesday and a year sober on Friday.

On Monday morning, her mother shared a photo of Deona Marie, along with a message:

"Here is my beautiful, brave and fun daughter Deona Marie. Today she was taken from us while supporting another family cause. The details are in the news and on social media that I have not seen. It has only been 2 hours since the notification and I know feels like a life. God has you now sweet Poke. I also love you the stars and thousands of times. 💚☦️💙 "

Erickson had worked as a program director at The Cottages Group, a Burnsville-based company that provides residential accommodation for people with reduced mobility.

The company said she was "shocked and deeply saddened" by her death.

"Deona was a Program Manager who spent her time overseeing two of our residential community sites, put her heart into her work. Those she served and with whom she served will miss her deeply. "

Erickson was originally from Pine City, according to her Facebook page, but she lived in Minneapolis. Social media painted a portrait of a young woman who loved her children, her puppy, and sports (notably the Vikings and WR Justin Jefferson).
