Nate Silvester Wiki - Nate Silvester Biography

Nate Silvester an Idaho law enforcement officer who gained notoriety for his TikTok videos has been fired from his job. In a Facebook post Thursday morning, Bellevue Mayor Ned Burns wrote that Deputy Marshal Nate Silvester was terminated from the Bellevue City Marshal’s Office for “continued policy violations.”

According to Burns, Silvester violated “several” city and state policies on policing during the week of May 20. Because of previous policy violations, Silvester had been placed on a “last chance agreement” with his commanding officers.

“Because of his continued policy violations, the Marshal has terminated Mr. Sylvester effective May 27th, 2021,” Burns wrote. The mayor said Silvester’s termination had nothing to do with his online posts that first landed him in the public eye.

Nate Silvester Fired from Job

The Idaho cop who went viral for a TikTok video mocking LeBron James for meddling in policing issues has been fired.

“I am the latest target of cancel culture,” former Bellevue deputy marshal Nate Silvester told Sean Hannity on his Fox News show Thursday, hours after he was fired. That’s all it is,” the officer-turned-viral videomaker insisted.

Silvester was initially suspended for his April 24 TikTok mocking the hoops legend, who was forced to apologize for incendiary posts about policing following the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant.

In his clip, Silvester pretended to have a phone conversation with the NBA superstar to get his advice while witnessing an imaginary black person trying to stab another black person.

“So you don’t care if a black person kills another black person, but you do care if a white cop kills a black person, even if he’s doing it to save the life of another black person?” Silvester said.

“I mean it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but then again you are really good at basketball so I guess I’ll take your word for it,” he said, adding “#humanizethebadge” in the viral video.

He was fired Thursday for what Bellevue Mayor Ned Burns said were “continued policy violations” after he already had a “last chance agreement” with his superior officers. “He was not terminated for the content of his speech; he was terminated for his failure to follow clearly laid out and well-established policy,” the city insisted in a statement on Facebook.

“The decision was solely made by the command structure within the Bellevue Marshals office and was not influenced in any way by me or by the City Council,” Burns insisted, asking for “calm and understanding.”

Silvester insisted that his witty videos are an attempt to “humanize the badge.”

“None of my other videos that depicted me in my uniform or involving body camera footage, none of those mattered. They didn’t care about those. It wasn’t until my LeBron James TikTok struck a political nerve that they started to pay attention and complain about it and came up with forms of discipline,” he told Hannity.
