Kevin Bennett was detained at around 1:50 pm. according to the arrest records and is currently held by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. A man accused of raping and stalking a large number of women in the Philadelphia area this month was arrested in Indianapolis on Saturday, according to police.
The first rape occurred at 05:00 on May 16, when Bennet allegedly ordered the victim to get out of his car, drove him to a driveway, and se**xually abused him.

Two days later, the police were summoned to an apartment following a home rape report. Two women told police officers that a man who said the police was Bennett had disguised as an electrician to break into the house, then pulled out a gun and sexually harassed them.
Five other incidents that Bennett followed between May 15 and May 18 were also reported to the police, FOX 29 Philadelphia reported. Police say Bennet targeted the employees of gentlemen’s clubs.
“We believe he goes to these places often, and then he follows the girls home believing they have money,” Special Victims Unit Captain Mark Burgmann told FOX 29.
Upper Merion Town police believe Bennet tried to abduct a woman while exercising at a hotel gym on May 18 and whipped her with a gun. One of Bennett’s alleged victims told NBC 10 Philadelphia that he barely escaped him after he realized he was following him.
“I feel terrible for the other victims,” and when he saw the surveillance video, “I knew it was him,” the victim told the local news outlet. Six of the seven known victims reported being followed home from where they work at various Philadelphia strip clubs.
“I’ve been living in fear,” a woman said. Words from a woman Bennett dated briefly last year. “He was forcing me to be with him, relationship, love him, kids,” she said. “Like whoa.”

The victim doesn’t want her identity revealed for fear of retaliation.
“The last time I really had a physical encounter with him was July of last year. He had shot at my house, 23 bullets came through,” she said. “The same day, I got a U-Haul and got the hell out of there. Indianapolis police documents show Bennett is accused of threatening and harassing her, even busting the windows of her car and slashing all four tires.
“I never thought somebody would actually try to kill me or kidnap me outside of my house,” she said. The victim said she had to get a new phone due to the thousands of sometimes threatening messages from the accused stalker. All of these are him. All the emojis. Those are all him harassing me,” she said.
Bennett is now in the custody of the Marion County Sheriffs in Indianapolis, his hometown. This after a days-long hunt that included the FBI. His ex says she isn’t surprised.
“I’d come home,” she said, “and he’d be hiding in my closet or something. He’s crazy.”
Bennett isn’t new to law enforcement. In September, he was arrested for resisting law enforcement and criminal mischief during a traffic stop. In October, he was arrested for stealing nearly $2,000 in merchandise from Macy’s. His ex says he’s dangerous.
“So, he is like fresh out. He was institutionalized his entire 20s,” she said. “He’s crazy. He’s literally the definition of psychotic.”
Philadelphia police said Bennett is being held on charges relating to a vehicle investigation in Indianapolis by Marion County Sheriffs. Bennett is due back in an Indianapolis court in June. There’s no word at this time when he’ll face a judge for the crimes he’s been accused of in Philadelphia and Montgomery County.
