Ally Sidloski was a University of Cincinnati footballer. Sidloski made her 2019 Bearcats debut but missed the next season due to an injury. Sidloski, a sophomore from Strongsville, had a GPA of 4.0 and earned the Academic All-AAC honors.
It was also the All-Greater Cleveland Conference selection three times. Ally Sidloski was a football player at the University of Cincinnati who was found dead after drowning in William Harsha Lake in East Fork State Park, Ohio. Authorities say Sidloski died on Saturday, May 22, 2021. The 21-year-old Ohio citizen has just finished his sophomore year at school.
Sidloski had her first year of redshire in 2018 and made her debut with the Bearcats in 2019, playing in two matches. She missed her last season due to an injury. Sidloski was awarded the Academic All-AAC award after the 2019 season. The school said, “Sidloski was selected as a TopCat scholar for multiple semesters because She reached a 4.0 GPA, and She was a standout in the classroom.” Said. According to the Bearcats website, Sidloski hoped to go to Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine after graduation.

Accident - Cause of Death
The University of Cincinnati is mourning the death of female soccer player Ally Sidloski, who died Saturday at age 21. An Ohio Department of Natural Resources spokesperson told ABC News Cincinnati affiliate WCPO that Sidloski drowned in East Fork Lake in Clermont County.
The spokesperson said Sidloski was hanging onto a swim platform on a boat before she went underwater without a lifejacket and did not come back up.
Her body was recovered at 1 a.m. Sunday, the spokesperson said. The Ohio native had just completed her sophomore season with the Bearcats. She did not play in the 2020 season this spring because she was suffering from an injury, according to the school.
"I am absolutely crushed for the Sidloski Family, our soccer team and the University," the soccer team's head coach, Neil Stafford, said in a statement. "There's no words for dealing with a tragedy on this scale. Ally was such a pillar of everything that's right about our program. A great student, gritty and resilient player and a phenomenal human being -- this is an immeasurable and unspeakable loss. Our hearts go out to her family and friends and we will lift them up with our fond memories of Ally."
Stafford also mourned Sidloski's death on Twitter. On Sunday night, he wrote: "Not only have we felt the darkness of tragedy but the Light of Love, Empathy & Compassion. I'm moved by the Grace & Strength of the Sidloski Family & the Resiliency of our @GoBEARCATS Family. Ally Sid was a beautiful extraordinary woman, the emotions of so many proved that today."

Sidloski was named a TopCat Scholar-Athlete in multiple semesters for achieving a 4.0 GPA.
"Our Bearcats family has suffered an extreme loss," the university's director of athletics, John Cunningham, said in a statement. "We send all our prayers, love, and support to the Sidloski family and will do everything we can to support them and our student-athletes as we all process and work through this tragedy. Please respect the privacy of the Sidloski's and members of our soccer team as they grieve the loss of their daughter, sister, teammate, and friend."
"We are saddened by the tragic loss of @GoBearcatsWSOC student-athlete Ally Sidloski. Our thoughts are with the Sidloski family, the Bearcats soccer community, and all who knew Ally," Cincinnati Bearcats wrote on Twitter.
Sidloski redshirted her freshman year in 2018 and made her debut in 2019 against East Carolina. She played in the AAC tournament opening round against SMU and earned All-Academic AAC honors following the 2019 season.

Her mother continued, “Ally was an enthusiastic footballer for Strongsville City, Strongsville High School, Cleveland Football Club, and the University of Cincinnati. As Ally achieved a 4.0 GPA, she was selected as a TopCat fellow for multiple semesters. But most importantly, Ally was a loving grandchild, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. As he puts it, “Life is about people who come together to support you and love you in everything.” We are grateful for your love, prayers, and any donation to help in the remembrance of our sweet Angelic Ally. ”
Sidloski’s sister, Nicole, wrote on Instagram: “Ou is my best friend and my sister together. Even thinking that you won’t come home tonight hurts my heart. … Now everything I do is for you. If I am lucky enough to find success in life, this is for you. ”
“My best friend,” Sidloski’s teammate Shannon Narolewski posted on Instagram. I will never find the words to explain what you mean to me and to everyone you have met in 21 years. To know that it is to love you. The privilege of living with me is the greatest blessing I have ever known, and I am forever grateful for a lifetime of friendship. You are a complete embodiment of everything I strive to be, and I can only hope to make you proud every day going forward. I know that every day brings me closer to seeing you again; Allyson free. My hero and angel forever. ”
In another praise, Bearcats footballer Annie Metzger said, “I will miss your infectious joy, your endless laughter, and your beautiful smile. I will miss your perseverance, your stamina, and your hard work. You have empowered every person you meet and brightened every room you enter. I am grateful for the countless moments we have to create together, but I am even more grateful. one day I’ll see you again smiling with Jesus. I love you, Ally Sid. ”
Another teammate, Vanessa DiNardo, posted on Instagram, “Allyson you were really a species and you’ve been a blessing in my life. You also affected more ppl than you can imagine. I will never be able to wrap around this and wonder why he left us so early. it can’t be real and it never feels real. you will really be really missed. I wish I could see you one last time and hug you and tell you how important you are to me. You are the most beautiful angel and I am so glad you look at me for the rest of my life. I will continue to work hard and make you proud. ”
