Pramila Dexit is a poet and a blogger from Kanpur. She is also the wife of Rohit Sardana, an Indian news anchor. He had hosted Taal Thok Ke, a program that discusses contemporary issues in India on Zee News. In 2017, he left Zee News to join Aaj Tak, where he hosted the debate show Dangal. He was a recipient of the 2018 Ganesh Vidyarthi Puraskar Award.
She was born and raised in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and is in her 30s.

Sardana has a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. From 2000 to 2002, Sardana completed his academic work to earn a post-graduate degree in mass communication from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology.
From March 2002 to July 2003, Sardana worked as a copy-editor. As a trainee copy-editor, Sardana was exposed to the technicalities of anchoring, copywriting, editing, production, and post-production work. Along with learning these skills, Sardana studied the functioning of a 24-hour news channel. Sardana worked as an assistant producer at Sahara Samay from 2003 to 2004.
Since 2004, Sardana was with Zee News in the capacity of an executive editor, anchor, news presenter, and host for the network's Hindi language programs. He was a senior anchor at Aaj Tak. Sardana formerly worked with the ETV Network and Akashvani. He hosted a show called Dangal (translation: Arena) on Aaj Tak which features debate panels. The show has been compared to Radio Rwanda and he has been accused of demonizing Muslims, encouraging jingoism, and strengthening the Hindu-Muslim binary through his show.
Sardana formerly produced Karmakshetra, among the first Hindi-language news shows whose primary objective was reporting, for an Indian audience, the state of political accountability in India. The show's question-answer format focused on Members of Parliament (MP) with Sardana variously challenging and questioning the MPs using a detailed report of their work. The final segment of the program culminated with a detailed "report card" on the work of the MPs for their respective constituency in advance of the 2014 Indian general elections.

Rohit Sardana Cause of Death
Television journalist Rohit Sardana died here of cardiac arrest on Friday, days after he tested positive for Covid-19, according to his channel Aaj Tak. He was 41.
Sardana, who was an executive editor and TV news anchor with Aaj Tak of the India Today Group, is survived by his wife, two daughters, and parents.
He was admitted to a private hospital here after he tested positive for coronavirus. His last rites will take place in his hometown of Kurukshetra in Haryana, according to his colleagues.
“We are all shocked by the death of our colleague and friend, Rohit Sardana. This incomparable loss cannot be expressed in words. We express our condolences to his family in this hour of grief,” Aaj Tak tweeted in Hindi.

A similar message was posted by the India Today channel in English.
“The untimely loss of our dear colleague and friend Rohit Sardana has left us in shock. No words can explain the irreparable loss and void that he leaves behind. Let us join in silence to give strength to the family,” India Today said in a tweet.
Condoling his death, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Rohit Sardana left us too soon. Full of energy, passionate about India’s progress, and a kind-hearted soul, Rohit will be missed by many people. His untimely demise has left a huge void in the media world. Condolences to his family, friends, and admirers. Om Shanti.”
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia also condoled the death of Sardana.
The news director of Aaj Tak and India Today Rahul Kanwal said his newsroom was in “deep shock” and remembered Sardana as a “sharp young anchor” who never “flinched from asking questions”.
“Rohit Sardana was the sharpest young anchor I have met. Superb command over Hindi, brilliant with his turn of the phrase, precise questions, clear in his thinking, loved by the masses, warm and humble off the screen, he was destined for great things. Our newsroom is in deep shock,” Kanwal tweeted.
“Rohit had greater conviction than most. For many, a right-leaning worldview is an acquired fad, a means of cultivating popularity. Rohit’s views were deeply held & strongly articulated. But he wasn’t an andh bhakt & never flinched from asking questions. That’s why he was special,” he said.
