Sophie Monk confirmed her engagement to boyfriend Joshua Gross in January 2021. On Friday, April 23rd, the 41-year-old held an intimate engagement party to celebrate the happy occasion. In Instagram Stories shared by both Sophie and Joshua on Saturday, the couple posed for a professional photographer in front of an ornate balloon wall.
Flanked by a sign bearing their names, the pair kissed as they stood beside silver and white balloons set up at their home.Space was also flanked with romantic signs and strings of fairy lights, creating a magical atmosphere.
Sophie looked stunning in a silver, strapless dress fitted to her amazing figure, while Joshua opted for a tuxedo. Josh also shared a video of the couple’s cake – made by his mother – which featured doll versions of the pair in identical outfits.
He wrote in the captions: ‘Engagement Party time. Love you sweetheart @sophiemonk. Thanks, Mum for the cake’.
It comes after Sophie confirmed her engagement to Joshua on January 15, after months of speculation.

Monk was engaged to American guitarist Benji Madden, but the couple split up in February 2008. In February 2010, Monk was photographed in a wheelchair following a car crash in Los Angeles.
In January 2011, Monk announced her engagement to Jimmy Esebag. A few months later Monk announced on Chelsea Lately that she had separated from Esebag.
In 2013, Monk revealed she has had a stalker who wanted to kill her. “He thought he could hear me screaming in the corner of his hospital room and thought I wanted to die. So I wrote to him and told him I was fine,” she said.
In October 2017, after completion of The Bachelorette Australia, Monk began a steady relationship with the winner, Stu Laundy. In January 2018, she broke off the relationship by announcing it on Instagram.
How did the two meet
The couple first met on a flight from Europe to Australia in August 2018 and shared a kiss after enjoying ‘three champagnes’ in business class. At the time, Joshua was still technically married since he had separated from his wife but had not completed divorce proceedings.
The couple grew closer when Joshua helped Sophie recover after endometriosis surgery in November. Around this time, she also began the process of freezing her eggs. She also revealed the couple would consider adopting a child if they struggled to fall pregnant.
