Who is Ben Nakamura? Wiki, Biography, Age, Family, Graduation Speech, Instagram

Ben Nakamura Wiki - Ben Nakamura Biography

Ben Nakamura, the former principal of Stagg High School, reportedly knew that he would not be returning to the school next year. He served a one-year stint and was voted out by the school board. The Stockton Record reported that Nakamura told students that he was voted out earlier in the week by the school board 4-3.

The paper said it is unclear why he was voted out and he still has support from some parents and students. He told the graduates he was kicked out because he loves the school and the community.

Ben Nakamura escorted away after his graduation speech

The principal of a high school in Stockton, Calif., caused a stir on Thursday when he appeared to go off-script during his address at the school’s commencement ceremony.

“I came here to serve you, to love you, to be in the mix and the grind with you,” he said. He told the students that working at the school appealed to him after he saw a fight that took place there that made the news. He told students that he loved his job there and encouraged them to do their best. He also used the struggles in his own life as examples of perseverance.

“I wanted to tell the kids why I left, so they would know I did not leave them, I did not turn my back on them,” he told the Record.

Melinda Meza, a spokeswoman for the Stockton Unified School District, told Fox 40 that it was unfortunate that Nakamura “chose to use this platform for his own grievances.” At one point during his speech, he said successful people “will do whatever it takes to stomp on top of others and pull them down to climb their way to the top.” He said those people do not deserve respect.

Meza said he was escorted out and he turned in his keys.

“There were strict COVID-19 guidelines, so no principals were allowed to give a speech,” Meza said, according to the paper. She told Fox News in an email that one mother said, “My son worked hard during COVID and wanted this day to be about him and his fellow students. Not some HR stuff and drama.”

Sofia Colon, a parent, told Fox 40 that the principal is loved by the students.

“That speech tells me how honest this principal is with his students. Tell the students, be a mentor to your little brothers and sisters. He told us where he came from, how relatable, how vulnerable. That was my takeaway: Don’t be a sellout, tell the truth,” she said.

Court records state that on Thursday, May 27, Gillespie was arrested on felony charges for having Se**x with two students, ages 15 and 16 at the time. A Lawrence County sheriff’s office investigator said in a criminal complaint that the Se**xual contact happened in September 2020, when Gillespie met the two minor students in her classroom after school.

She was booked into the Lawrence County jail on two counts of a school employee engaging in a Se**x act with a student younger than 19 and one count each of second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy.

Jon Bret Smith, Superintendent of Lawrence County Schools, stated, "The Lawrence County school district has been made aware that an employee has been arrested. Our school district treats this type of situation with the highest level of care. District leaders are conducting an investigation into this matter and will support law enforcement as they do the same.

Last year, we reported a similar incident, when a 63-year-old high school teacher from North Carolina, Emma Ogle, killed herself and her husband in a murder-suicide. Ogle was charged for "having se**x with a student, indecent liberties with a student, and a crime against nature."

We also reported a gruesome incident, where a maths/chemistry teacher of a secondary school in Pankow, Stefan R got arrested. He was arrested after police found human bones stripped completely of flesh in a Berlin suburb. Investigations stated that Stefan had browsed cannibalism-related forums online.

Who is Glenna Bevin? Wiki, Biography, Age, Matt Bevin's Wife, Children, Arrested, Investigation

Glenna Bevin Wiki - Glenna Bevin Biography

Glenna Bevin is the wife of Matt Bevin, is an American businessman and politician who served as the 62nd Governor of Kentucky, from 2015 to 2019. He was the third Republican elected Kentucky governor since World War II, after Ernie Fletcher (2003–2007) and Louie Nunn (1967–1971).

Born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Shelburne, New Hampshire, Bevin earned a bachelor's degree at Washington and Lee University in 1989, then served four years of active duty in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of captain. He became wealthy in the investment business and moved to Louisville, Kentucky, in 1999. He was president of Bevin Brothers Manufacturing Company, one of the last remaining American bell foundries.

In 2013, Bevin announced he would challenge Kentucky's senior U.S. Senator, then-Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, in the 2014 Republican primary. Although Bevin gained the support of various groups aligned with the Tea Party Movement, McConnell attacked him repeatedly for inconsistencies in his public statements and policy positions and defeated him by almost 25 percentage points.

After announcing he would seek the governorship in 2015, Bevin emerged from a four-way Republican primary, beating his nearest competitor by 83 votes. He then defeated the state's attorney general, Democratic nominee Jack Conway, in the general election. Bevin's gubernatorial tenure was notable for the passage of "right-to-work" legislation, laws limiting abortion access, and a law allowing carrying concealed handguns without permits. He also attempted to reverse Kentucky's Medicaid expansion and to reduce teacher pensions.

While stationed at Fort Polk, Bevin went on a blind date with his future wife, Glenna. At the time, Glenna was a divorced single mother of a 5-year-old daughter who was born during her first marriage to an abusive husband. The two married in 1996 and had five additional children. After Glenna's remarriage, her daughter, Brittiney, took her adoptive father's last name.

In 2003, 17-year-old Brittiney was killed in a car accident near the family's home. In memory of their daughter, the Bevins created Brittiney's Wish, a non-profit organization that funds domestic and international mission trips for high school students, and started an endowment that allowed Louisville's Southern Baptist Theological Seminary to open its Bevin Center for Missions Mobilization in 2012.

Matt Bevin Arrested - Charges

Patrick Baker, a Kentucky man whom then-Gov. Matt Bevin controversially pardoned in late 2019, was arrested by federal authorities Sunday and now may once again face charges in connection with the 2014 death of Donald Mills in Knox County.

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Baker, 43, on Sunday, and he was booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center in London just after 12:15 a.m. Monday, with the jail log listing his only charge as "federal prisoner held-in transit/court/serve out." But Mills' sister, Melinda Mills, told The Courier-Journal the FBI contacted her Monday morning to say that Baker was arrested again in connection with her brother's death.

An FBI spokesperson did not immediately respond to email and phone requests for comment Monday from The Courier-Journal.

The Courier-Journal also left a voicemail and email with the spokesperson for the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky. No bond amount nor any attorney were listed for Baker on the Laurel County Correctional Center's website.

Melinda Mills told The Courier-Journal in a message her family is "very thankful and blessed for" the FBI, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Gov. Andy Beshear as well as a Kentucky State Police detective who had investigated the case and Jackie Steele, the commonwealth's attorney for Knox and Laurel counties who previously prosecuted Baker for Mills' death.

Melinda Mills also thanked state Sen. Morgan McGarvey and former state Rep. Chris Harris. The two-state lawmakers had called for federal authorities to investigate Bevin's pardon of Baker after The Courier-Journal reported that Baker's family held a campaign fundraiser at their Corbin home in 2018 that raised $21,500 for the GOP governor.

"We knew corruption was involved with the former pardon of Patrick Baker," Melinda Mills said Monday in a message. "He knows he's guilty so does everybody else."

In 2017, a Knox County jury convicted Baker of reckless manslaughter, first-degree robbery, tampering with evidence and impersonating a police officer in connection with the fatal shooting of Mills during a home invasion.

The lure of $50,000 to $75,000 worth of pain pills had tempted Baker and several of his friends to carry out the robbery that turned fatal, according to one of his accomplices and court records. Baker was one of five co-conspirators, and the jury sent him to prison to serve 19 years.

But on Dec. 6, 2019, Kentucky's outgoing Republican governor granted Baker a pardon and set him free just two years into his sentence. Dismissing the evidence against Baker as "sketchy at best," Bevin challenged The Courier-Journal to examine the case. Baker received one of the hundreds of pardons and commutations issued by Bevin in his final days as governor.

Numerous pardons drew the ire of victims and prosecutors, and some of the people pardoned by Bevin — including Dayton Jones, who had been convicted in a brutal sodomy case that almost killed a 15-year-old boy — have since been arrested in new cases or even federally charged in connection with the same cases for which they had received pardons or commutations.

In all, Bevin granted pardons or commutations to 670 offenders shortly before he left office in December 2019 after losing re-election to Beshear, the commonwealth's attorney general at the time.

At a press conference just days after the pardon, Chicago-based defense attorney Elliott Slosar told the public that Baker was innocent, the victim of police misconduct and a "botched" investigation led by state police Detective Bryan Johnson, who took the lead on investigating Mills' death.

However, a weekslong Courier-Journal investigation into the case against Baker found the state's evidence to be overwhelming and the argument for his innocence thin. Baker could be charged federally with a civil rights violation for taking Mills' life in violation of his constitutional rights, according to former federal prosecutors.

That usually requires proof the defendant was acting under color of law, which could be met because Baker was impersonating a police officer, said Louisville attorney Kent Wicker, a former assistant U.S. attorney.

Baker would be eligible for the death penalty and there is no statute of limitations for the crime. Baker also could be prosecuted under a portion of the law that makes it a crime for two or more persons to "go in disguise ... on the premises of another with the intent to prevent or hinder" a person's "free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the United States."

Brian Butler, another former prosecutor, said Baker also could be prosecuted under the federal Hobbs Act, which is usually used against government employees. Starting one year after they received a pardon from Bevin, all of the felony offenders were eligible to have their criminal records wiped clean, thanks to language in a 2016 law intended to ease the expungement of certain low-level felonies.

State court records related to Baker's initial conviction in the Knox County case show that he completed an application to vacate and expunge his felony conviction earlier in May. According to online records, Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams certified the expungement application on May 7.

Cole Buckley Wiki - Cole Buckley Biography

Cole Buckley of Braintree is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Tuesday on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Buckley was promptly identified and arrested by TD Garden security following the incident. He is also subject to a lifetime ban from the venue, according to a spokesperson.

According to the police, a witness identified that Cole threw a Dasani water bottle at Irving. Cole Buckley is now charged with assault and battery using a dangerous weapon and will be arraigned on Tuesday in Boston Municipal Court.

As the bottle narrowly missed Irving, he and his teammate Tyler Johnson immediately looked up into the stands. "You're seeing a lot of old ways come up," Irving said. "It has been that way in history in terms of entertainment, performers and sports for a long period of time and just underlying racism and just treating people like they're in a human zoo. Throwing stuff at people, saying things. There is a certain point where it gets to be too much."

A TD Garden spokesperson said, "We will support and provide assistance to Boston Police as this incident is under review. We have zero-tolerance for violations of our guest code of conduct, and the guest is subject to a lifetime ban from TD Garden."

Boston Celtics released a statement about the incident which said, "In the course of this investigation, we were able to conclude that the fan had been verbally abusive toward the Golden State bench, but none of the interviewed parties were able to verify the use of racially offensive language, and video evidence proved inconclusive." The Celtics concluded that based on their investigation, the fan would be banned for two years.

A Boston Celtics' fan was arrested and booked for 'throwing a water bottle' at Kyrie Irving's head following the Brooklyn Nets' 141-126 victory against Boston Celtics on Sunday. The incident took place while Irving was leaving the court at TD Garden on Sunday night. He was walking toward the tunnel when a water bottle flew past him. Irving's 39-point performance helped give Brooklyn a 3-1 series lead over the Celtics.

Talking about the incident, Irving said, "You can see that people just feel very entitled out here. They paid for their tickets -- great, I'm grateful that they're coming in to watch a great performance." He added, "But we're not at the theater. We're not throwing tomatoes and other random stuff at the people that are performing."

"Fans got to grow up at some point, " Current Nets star Kevin Durant commented on the incident. "I know that being in the house for a year and a half with the pandemic got a lot of people on edge, got a lot of people stressed out, but when you come to these games, you have to realize these men are human. We are not animals; we are not in the circus. You coming to the game is not all about you as a fan. So, have some respect for the game.

Have some respect for human beings, and have some respect for yourself. Your mother wouldn't be proud of you throwing water bottles at basketball players or spitting on players or tossing popcorn. So, grow the f--- up, and enjoy the game. It's bigger than you, " he added.

This was not the first incident between players and fans in Boston. In 2019, a TD Garden fan was banned for two years for yelling a racial slur at All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins.

"A guest was arrested by Boston Police at the end of tonight’s Boston Celtics game for throwing an object. We will support and provide assistance to Boston Police as this incident is under review. We have zero-tolerance for violations of our guest code of conduct, and the guest is subject to a lifetime ban from TD Garden," Tricia McCorkle, a TD Garden spokesperson, said in a statement.

"It's unfortunate that sports has come to this kind of crossroads," Irving said after the game. "Just underlying racism and just treating people like they're in a human zoo. Throwing things at them. At a certain point, it just becomes too much."

t's the latest of multiple incidents in the NBA involving inappropriate fan conduct. During Washington Wizards-Philadelphia 76ers Game 2, a Philly fan dumped popcorn on Russell Westbrook's head as he exited the court with an injury. A Utah Jazz fan-made lewd, racist comments toward Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant's parents during Game 2 of their series.

"We know how these people here are in Boston, and we know how passionate they are about Kyrie in particular, and they're still upset at him. That's no reason for them to act childish," Irving's teammate Kevin Durant said about the incident in a postgame press conference.

Who is Sophie Hartman? Wiki, Biography, Age, Family, Daughter, Charges, Arrested, Investigation

Sophie Hartman Wiki - Sophie Hartman Biography

Sophie Hartman had her adopted daughter wear leg braces and go under the knife for surgeries to install a feeding tube and a tube to flush out the child’s intestines.

Hartman is now facing second-degree charges of assault of a child and attempted assault of a child in a case medical experts are calling “medical child abuse.”

Sophie Hartman Age

Sophie Hartman is 31 years old.

Sophie Hartman forcing black daughter into surgery

Sophie Hartman is facing charges of second-degree assault of a child and second-degree attempted assault of a child after subjecting her unidentified daughter, who’s now six, to more than 500 medical appointments to treat AHC, a disease she didn’t have, for four years.

“It is not necessary to know the possible motivation of a caregiver, only the outcome of the behavior,” Dr. Rebecca Wiester, director of the Seattle Children’s Hospital, wrote in a Feb. 19 letter that prompted an investigation by the Department of Children and Youth.

The letter, which said the child was at “profound risk,” was co-signed by other physicians and was part of the charging document from the King County’s prosecutor’s office, posted by KING15 ABC.

Hartman was charged after the child, referred to by the initials C.H., underwent a 16-day observation for her numerous ailments and treatments. At no point during her admission were there any findings or reported symptoms to support any of her prior diagnoses,” the charging document, filed May 24, said.

“All the available evidence obtained during the course of her admission suggests C.H. is a healthy young 6-year-old who would continue to benefit from a de-escalation of medical support and normalization of her childhood experience.”

The child was forced into “increasingly invasive” procedures, with a July 2017 surgical implant of a tube to get food, water and medicine directly into the stomach. In December 2018, she had a tube surgically placed into the intestines to flush out her bowels.

And the child’s adopted mother was asking for a surgical hormonal implant to suppress the early onset of puberty, prosecutors said. Hartman was told the kid, who was removed from her care in March, didn’t need leg braces or a wheelchair but she continued to force C.H. to use them, according to the charging documents.

“Moreover, fundraisers were carried out around this time and the defendant used fundraiser funds to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle,” the document said.

While it was all going on, she allegedly told someone that C.H. could “leave us anytime” and investigators said they found after a court order that Hartman had done internet searches that included “funeral songs” and “How to get paid to take care of a family member with a disability.”

In a 2019 interview with KING 5, Hartman said she had adopted two sisters from Zambia and said one had a rare neurological disorder called alternating hemiplegia of childhood (AHC).

“I know she’s walking right now but she was literally paralyzed all day yesterday,” Hartman said at the time. The child was given a wish by the Make-a-Wish foundation in 2019, Q13 Fox reported. In a video with the foundation, Hartman discussed the impact of AHC.

In a statement given to Q13, Make a Wish said it was dismayed by the accusations. This is a very serious allegation and any threat to the wellbeing of a child is not in alignment with the child-centered focus of our mission,” the statement said.

“We hope this matter is quickly remedied in the best interest of the child.” Hartman’s attorney, in a statement to KING, said, said the allegations were false. The doctor from Seattle Children’s hospital who’s largely behind the charges for this case is not an expert on this disease,” Shapiro said, according to the station. She probably has little to no experience in this disease.”

Who is Coleman Blevins? Wiki, Biography, Age, Family, Shooting, Arrested, Investigation

Coleman Blevins Wiki - Coleman Blevins Biography

Coleman Thomas Blevins is a Texas man accused of plotting a Walmart mass shooting. Blevins was arrested with guns and white supremacists and other extremist paraphernalia, the Kerr County Sheriff says. The 28-year-old was arrested on May 28, 2021, the sheriff’s office said in a May 30 press release.

The sheriff’s office said it and other agencies disrupted “plans for a mass casualty event,” and cooperated to “intercept and foil plan for attack on the public.” Investigators believe Blevins was a “threat to national security,” according to the press release.

“Through the period of investigation, KCSO investigators made contact and conversed with Mr. Blevins, confirmed his affiliation and networking with extremist ideologies. On May 27th, KCSO Special Operations Division intercepted a message indicating that Blevins was preparing to proceed with a mass shooting. In the message, Mr. Blevins made a specific threat that included Wal-Mart. Working with the FBI, KCSO Investigators confirmed Mr. Blevins’ capability of following through with the threat and moved immediately to arrest him,” the sheriff’s office said in the press release.

Blevins, who lives in Kerrville, Texas, was arrested in the 1000 block of Junction Highway by deputies from the sheriff’s office along with representatives of the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Kerrville Police Department, the FBI, and the U.S. Secret Service, according to the press release. Officials said Blevins was on felony probation and barred from possessing firearms.

Coleman Blevins Age

Arrested - Charges

Blevins has three drug convictions on his record, according to Texas Department of Public Safety records obtained by Heavy. He was arrested in August 2014 by the Alpine Police Department and charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance greater than 4 grams. He pleaded guilty to the charge in September 2016 and was sentenced in December 2016 to 10 years of probation.

While free on bail in that case, Blevins was arrested by the Brewster County Sheriff’s Office in Alpine in June 2015 and charged with possession of greater than 1 gram of a controlled substance, a state jail felony. He also pleaded guilty to that charge in September 2016 and was sentenced in December 2016 to 10 years of probation that runs concurrent to the probation in the other case. According to News West 9, his 2015 arrest came during a stop for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, deputies found heroin, according to the report.

Blevins was also arrested in July 2016 by the Alpine Police Department on a drug charge. That case was also wrapped in with the other three in his guilty plea in September 2016 and he was sentenced to 10 years of probation in December 2016 on that charge as well.

Blevins was arrested on a warrant charging him with making a terroristic threat to create public fear of serious bodily injury. According to Texas state law, the charge is a third-degree felony.

The charge carries a potential sentence of 2 to 10 years in state prison and a fine of up to $10,000, according to Texas law.

The sheriff’s office said, “The FBI or other federal authorities may seek federal charges in this case. As with all criminal cases, charges may be added or modified prior to trial. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

Blevins Was Held on $250,000 Bail

Blevins is being held on $250,000 bail at the Kerr County Jail, the sheriff’s office said in the press release. He is originally from Alpine, Texas, according to public records. Little other information about Blevins could be uncovered by Heavy. No Facebook or other social media pages in his name could be found.

Blevins could not be reached for comment by Heavy and it was not immediately clear if he has hired an attorney who could speak on his behalf. It was also not immediately known when Blevins is scheduled to appear in Kerr County court.

“Stay vigilant, Kerr County. Our Office, other local law enforcement departments, and federal law enforcement work every day to keep our community safe. You can help by always being aware. If you see something, say something,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook. According to the press release, the KCSO’s Special Operations Division was assisted in the investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division and the FBI.

Sheriff Larry Leitha said in a statement, “This case reminds us that we need to always be vigilant. Many think ‘that can’t happen here’, and it was well on the way to happening. Our investigators did outstanding work in this case, and possibly saved many lives. The plot interrupted, in this case, is unthinkable. We appreciate the assistance of all our law enforcement partners, including the FBI, DPS, KPD, and Secret Service. We’d like to remind the public – if you see something, say something. The KCSO, working with other law enforcement professionals, will continue to stop threats to our community, and bring those responsible to prosecution.”

Leitha and the sheriff’s office did not say which Walmart location was the possible target of the plot. Federal authorities have not yet made a statement about the investigation and the Kerr County district attorney’s office has also not issued a statement about the case.

Investigation Report

“After the arrest, a search warrant for Mr. Blevins’ residence in the 200 block of Spence St was executed. In that warrant service, firearms, ammunition, electronic evidence, concentrated THC, and radical ideology paraphernalia, including books, flags, and handwritten documents were seized. Mr. Blevins is currently on active felony probation and is prohibited from possessing firearms,” the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office said in the press release.

A photo posted by the sheriff’s office, which can be seen above, shows the items that were seized from Blevins’ home. The flags seen in the photos include, from left to right, a Neo-Nazi astany black sun flag sonnenrad banner, a confederate flag, the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Falange Flag, a symbol of the fascist Falangist party of Spanish General Francisco Franco. Another flag on the table is the calvary cross version of the Russian Christian Orthodox symbol.

Along with a rifle, handgun, ammunition, a laptop, and a T-shirt with the image of a syringe, several books are laid out on the table, including a copy of the Qu’ran and the white supremacist novel The Turner Diaries. The 1978 above depicts a “group of white supremacists attacks the Capitol in an effort to overthrow the U.S. government. Dozens are killed in the assault, including members of Congress and their staffers. But in the insurrectionists’ view, the greater victory is symbolic,” according to The New York Times.

Also on the table are copies of Revolt Against the Modern World by Julius Evola and Harassment Architecture by Mike Ma. An unidentified red book also sits on the table.

Extremist researcher Marc-André Argentino, of Concordia University in Montreal, tweeted about the photo, “So we have Sonnenrad, Confederate flag, Falange Española Tradicionalista, a Saudi flag, Calvary variant of Russian Orthodox Cross flag. This guys is into eco-fascism, Trad culture, accelerationism, Christian nazism.”

The sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment for more information on the materials found during the search of Blevins’ home, including an inventory of everything that was seized.

Who is Gigi Gaskins? Wiki, Biography, Age, Family, Husband, Apology, Instagram

Gigi Gaskins Wiki - Gigi Gaskins Biography

Gigi Gaskins is the owner of Hatwrks in Nashville, Tennessee. She sparked outrage by selling Nazi-like Jewish Star of David patches that say “not vaccinated.” The 60-year-old anti-vaxxer has defended her actions on Instagram after the photo of her wearing the yellow star patch went viral. Several brands have cut ties with Gaskins and her store was closed on May 29, 2021, amid protests outside.

Gaskins’ Instagram page is filled with misinformation about vaccines and debunked anti-vax, far-right and pro-Trump conspiracy theories. She wrote in the bio section of the page, “custom & worldwide brands. one of the largest selections in the world…. we also speak out against tyranny!!” She has posted multiple times amid the controversy over the Star of David patch but turned off comments.

“People are so outraged by my post? but are you outraged with the tyranny the world is experiencing? if you dpn’t understand what is happening, that is on you, not me,” Gaskins wrote on her business’s Instagram page. “I pay much more respect to history by standing up with the fallen than offering silence & compliance. that is the worse crime. it was then & is now. i will delete your disgust and hope you put it where it belongs.

She added in a follow-up post, “In NO WAY did i intend to trivialize the Star of David or disrespect what happened to millions of people. that is not who i am & what i stand for. my intent was not to exploit or make a profit. my hope was to share my genuine concern & fear, and to do all that i can to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again. i sincerely apologize for any insensitivity.”

The original viral Instagram photo showing Gaskins proudly wearing the Star of David was posted and deleted on May 27. In the caption she wrote, “patches are here!! They turned out great. $5 (each). Strong adhesive back. ….. We’ll be offering trucker hats soon.” Gaskins said on Instagram she never sold any of the patches and took the post down after two or three hours when it started generating controversy.

Gigi Gaskins Age

Gigi Gaskins's age is unknown.

Stetson bows out of distribution

Calling the original Star of David post "offensive," iconic hatmaker Stetson USA announced on its Twitter account on Saturday that it would stop distributing its products to the store.

"As a result of the offensive content and opinions shared by HatWRKS in Nashville, Stetson and our distribution partners will cease the sale of all Stetson products. We thank you for your continued support and patience," the post said.

Apology posted

Hatwrks later posted an apology Saturday, stating the business did not mean to "trivialize" or "disrespect" what happened during the Holocaust.

"In no way did I intend to trivialize the Star of David or disrespect what happened to millions of people. That is not who I am & what I stand for. My intent was not to exploit or make a profit. My hope was to share my genuine concern & fear and to do all that I can to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again. I sincerely apologize for any insensitivity."

Gaskins, Says She Began Posting Political Views

Before the COVID-19 pandemic and the final months of the 2020 presidential election, Gaskins did not post anything about politics or conspiracy theories on the Hatwrks Instagram and Facebook pages. Instead, her social media pages were filed with photos of hats and other products sold in her store and posts about music and happenings in Nashville. But the tone of her pages took a drastic turn when the first coronavirus restrictions were put in place in March 2020.

On March 17, 2020, Gaskins wrote on Instagram, “hatWRKS is OPEN….All 5 of us are here, not sick, not fearful & on the payroll. Don’t even buy a cowboy hat if you aren’t gonna act like one.”

On March 20, 2020, she wrote, “i consider hatWRKS my home. that is why it runs as it does…it’s not a prim & proper business, but an extension of who i am. i like to think it’s real and not just about $$$….it works for some & not others. but up until this week, we have grown & are successful enough to provide livelihoods for 5+ people. I am quite proud of that. now that livelihood is being stolen…..and this has nothing to do with the flu/virus…or rep/dem… or two week’s loss of income. as of today… the .powers are officially bringing the American economy to a grinding halt. nothing like this has ever happened in the history of this country.” She added:

this will not last a week….they are already planning for it to go on a month. two? three? by that time the damage & power grab will be irreversible. it’s probably already toasted. I feel totally powerless…all I can do is offer a voice of opposition, not that I think it will do any good. but it makes me feel better & I can’t turn my head if I wanted to. the only way this could have happened was if people had stood up and said NO….sadly it’s not going to happen. sadly, people are ever so willing to let it happen. military force doesn’t seem to be necessary, but forces are positioning nonetheless. … it doesn’t get any more personal this, it’s 100% putting my money where my mouth is. let the chips fall where they may, I call it as I see it. spare me your hate mail…..I will just delete it. unbelievably sad times.

Gaskins also began posting about her support for Trump. She wrote in April 2021 about her political views, “people think I am some rabid trump supporter… they could not be more wrong. I try to weigh options & make educated decisions. none of us know what is really playing out … I believed our best hope was that trump was truly trying to uphold the constitution & protect our sovereignty. maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t. maybe he has controlled opposition. I’d hate to think so…. but there should be NO DOUBT in anyone's mind where we are now headed. it’s a dystopian nightmare… Americans will not do well. Other countries have been thru thousands of yrs of hardships… Americans, they’ll fall off by the millions.”

In April 2020, Gaskins began attending protests against COVID-19 restrictions at the Tennessee capitol. She wrote on April 20, “no, I’m not going to post photos of this right now. the world is upside down & I’m not going to act like it is business as usual.”

By the summer of 2020, she began posting about her support for Trump. “new hatWRKS shirts !! my cousin Erika … we’re just a family of deplorable these days! $25. will be on the website tomorrow,” she posted in July.

She also expressed her anger with Black Lives Matter protests, writing, “I’m pretty much over it ….. I have no idea what has happened to our country, our way of life, our businesses – and I have no idea how this is allowed to continue. there does NOT get to be just one voice in this country regardless of what people think watching the MSM. hatWRKS DOES NOT SUPPORT ANTIFA …. & hatWRKS DOES NOT SUPPORT BLACK LIVES MATTER. these organizers will tell you in their own words they are trained Marxists & want to take this country down. hatWRKS IS NOT FOR DEFUNDING THE POLICE even though our council seems to overwhelmingly support that.”

She added, “don’t even go there thinking you can call me a racist because that does NOT play….. I have lived for over 35 years with black neighbors not more than 10ft from me on either side. I have hired and worked alongside many black folks …. wonderful black hat-wearing men were my first customers when I opened. so you can’t go there. IF YOU ARE FOR THE VIOLENCE THAT IS HAPPENING ALL ACROSS THIS COUNTRY…. don’t bother coming to our store. we don’t want your business….. and I try not to support businesses that are bowing down to the mob. we will continue to speak out.”

In August, she added a Trump 2020 sign to the front of her store and wrote on Instagram, “new signage up today!! go get ’em, cowboy!! we’ve got nothing to lose. if the globalists win it’s all over anyway. even if Trump wins, the battle will continue, they aren’t going away …… but I do believe he is our only hope. stand up for what you believe in, be prepared to fight !! there has been no other time in our lives. that i believe……”

In other posts, she talked about “cancel culture.” She wrote on September 1, 2020:

how is it that hundreds of corporations, organizations & sports teams in the country can speak out for what they support? but people that support trump are not allowed without a public execution. see I think that is a clear sign that all is not well in the world !! ….. and THAT is why I choose to speak out. the HATE is outstanding ….. from a political movement that is supposed to be for the complete opposite of how they act. some folks need to look hard in the mirror! but I am not going to convince anyone of anything. I just want to exercise my American freedom of choice… while we still have it. if I did not think it was in jeopardy I would not bother ….. I can tell you this is no fun. for those practicing the canceling of opposing opinions, your time will come when you are on the other side.

After Trump lost the presidential election, Gaskins began posting conspiracy theories and false information claiming it had been stolen from him. She attended a “Stop the Steal” rally in Nashville on November 7, 2020, her Instagram shows.

She attended the pro-Trump rally in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021, that proceeded with the riot and invasion of the Capitol building by Trump supporters. She posted a photo of the crowd, but there is no evidence she went into the Capitol. She wrote on Instagram, “welcome to communist America. they keep taking this photo down. … yes I took this picture and was proud to stand there!”

She also made several anti-vaccine posts and said she would not take it.

Lara began her consulting practice in the area of weight control in 1980. She had struggled with her weight while attending school. She became "convinced that genetics, metabolism and behavior modification alone couldn't explain why some people were thin and others battled the bulge." In 1986, Lara founded the Weigh Down Workshop, a weight loss program which has “no forbidden foods, exercise regimen or weigh-ins,” and avoids “calorie counting.” As The Tennessean points out, the program lacks “some basic elements,” like exercise and guidance on food selection, as recommended by the American Dietetic Association. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, “the Weigh Down Workshop attempts to help participants develop the discipline to eat only when they are hungry and to stop eating when they are full.”

Who is Dr. Birger Sørensen? Wiki, Biography, Age, Family, Wife, Work, Statement, Net Worth

Dr. Birger Sørensen Wiki - Dr. Birger Sørensen Biography

Birger Sørensen, a Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen, along with British professor Angus Dalgleish, has joined a growing number of people who argue that Covid-19 was not caused by bats as it was originally thought. They believe the virus was created by China at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where it infiltrated. This theory was widely rejected by both China and the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020, but it is slowly gaining credibility.

The study concludes: “the likelihood of it being the result of natural processes is very small.” The virus is still killing 12,000 people a day around the world.

Dalgleish is a London oncology professor known for breakthrough work on a vaccine for HIV. Sørensen is a virologist and chair of the pharmaceutical company Immunol, which developed a coronavirus vaccine candidate called Biovacc-19. Dalgleish also has a financial stake in that company.

Dr. Birger Sørensen Age

Birger Sørensen's age is unknown.

Explosive study claims to prove Chinese scientists created COVID

A bombshell new study claims to have proof that Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a lab and then tried to reverse-engineer versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.

It was during their COVID-19 vaccine research that the pair came across “unique fingerprints” indicating the virus didn’t come from nature, they said. The telltale clue: a rare finding in the COVID-carrying virus of a row of four amino acids, which give off a positive charge and bond to negative human cells.

“The laws of physics mean that you cannot have four positively charged amino acids in a row,” Dalgleish told the Daily Mail. “The only way you can get this is if you artificially manufacture it.”

They also tracked published Chinese research, some done working with American universities, to show how the tools to create the virus were allegedly built. A good part of the work reviewed involved “gain of function” research, which involves manipulating natural viruses in a lab to make them more infectious, allowing scientists to study their potential effect on humans.

The U.S. put a moratorium on such research in 2014. But it’s impossible to know if $600,000 funding for medical research in China was used for the gain of function research, Dr. Anthony Fauci told Congress last week.

“A natural virus pandemic would be expected to mutate gradually and become more infectious but less pathogenic which is what many expected with the COVID-19 pandemic but which does not appear to have happened,” the scientists wrote.

President Joe Biden ordered intelligence agencies to investigate the origins of Covid-19 on May 27 and did not explicitly rule out the laboratory leak theory. Initially, the theory was called “racist” and blamed for the increase in anti-Asian violence, but if Dalgleish and Sørensen are to be believed, that’s nothing more.

His research was originally published by The Daily Mail and the article will be published “in the coming days”.

They made claims after began analyzing virus samples while trying to create a vaccine in 2020. At that time, they discovered “unique fingerprints” that they claimed could only come from manipulation in the lab. As a result, they believe the virus (SARS-Coronavirus-2) does not have a “reliable natural ancestor” and believe that the virus was created in the laboratory “beyond reasonable doubt”.

According to two experts, scientists at the Wuhan lab created the virus and “then tried to cover its traces with reverse-engineered versions of the virus to make it appear to have evolved naturally from bats”. The duo allegedly had evidence for over a year, but as such allegations were viewed as racist, they were ignored by leading academics and publications. The pair also accused the lab of “deliberate destruction, concealment or contamination of data”.

They also noted that several speaking scientists had mysteriously disappeared. The 22-page article will be published soon in the Quarterly Review of Biophysics Discovery.

They conclude, “A natural virus outbreak is expected to gradually mutate and become more contagious but less pathogenic, something many have come to expect from the Covid-19 outbreak, but it doesn’t appear to have happened,” they conclude. The angle is expected to be investigated by both the US and WHO in the coming months.

Who is Jasmine Hartin? Wiki, Biography, Age, Family, Charges, Arrested, Investigation

Jasmine Hartin Wiki - Jasmine Hartin Biography

Jasmine Hartin, who is married to the son of businessman Lord Michael Ashcroft, was socializing with Superintendent Henry Jemmott before he was found dead of a bullet to the head Thursday, The Daily Beast reported.

The two were out on a pier in San Pedro at 12:30 a.m. on Friday — past the area’s COVID-19 curfew — when a single gunshot rang out, Police Commissioner Chester Williams said at a news conference, according to Belize’s Channel 5 news. Upon investigating, police found the female on a pier and she had what appeared to be blood on her arms and on her clothing,” Williams told reporters.

Jemmott’s body was found floating in the waters near the pier. The weapon used was Jemmott’s service gun, which was recovered at the scene, the commissioner said.

Jasmine Hartin Age

Jasmine Hartin's age is unknown.

Charges - Arrested

Hartin was taken in for questioning. She initially did not cooperate with interrogators, but has since hired the former attorney general of Belize to represent her, the article said. She has not been charged with a crime, and police are still unsure if Jemmott died of murder, suicide or an accidental shooting, according to the report.

Hartin has not been charged with any crimes. She initially did not cooperate with investigators and retained the former attorney general of Belize as her lawyer, Williams said. The attorney had not made any public comment about the investigation as of Friday night.

Hartin is a U.S. national who lives in Belize with her husband, Andrew Ashcroft, the youngest son of Lord Ashcroft, a top donor to the U.K.’s Conservative Party who once served as Belize’s ambassador to the United Nations and has extensive business holdings in the country.

Hartin’s LinkedIn profile says she is the director of the lifestyle and experience at the Alaia Belize resort, which had its grand opening just two weeks ago. According to the police chief, Hartin and Jemmott were out drinking a pier in San Pedro at 12:30 a.m. on Friday morning—past COVID curfew—when a single gunshot rang out.

“Upon investigating, police found the female on a pier and she had what appeared to be blood on her arms and on her clothing,” Williams told reporters. “And inside the waters, right near the pier, police recovered the lifeless body of Mister Jemmott, with one apparent gunshot wound behind the right ear.”

He said the weapon used was Jemmott’s service gun, which was recovered at the scene. He was not on duty; officials said he had asked for time off to deal with some personal issues. Marie Jemmott Tzul, the victim’s sister, told Belize’s Channel 7 News that she did not believe it could be suicide.

“I would say my brother would never kill himself. My brother had a passion for life, he looks forward to his children, his five children and his fiancee and me and the other family members,” she said. The chief said he was treating the investigation like any other case despite the immense wealth, political connections, and high profile of the Ashcrofts.

“Someone is responsible for his death. We owe it to him to ensure that we investigate properly and bring that person or those persons to justice,” Williams said of the victim. I can emphatically state that I have not received any calls from anybody above me directing that we deal with the matter in one way or the other.”

Who is Dixie Lewis? Wiki, Biography, Age, Tabitha Soren's Daughter, Cause of Death, Car Crash

Dixie Lewis Wiki - Dixie Lewis Biography

Dixie Lewis is the daughter of Tabitha Sore, was a student of Pomona College, where she had planned to study neuroscience. She was also a softball player for the college. But she never got the chance to study on campus due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Ross Schultz was pursuing a course in kinesiology at Cal Poly Pomona.

Dixie Lewis Age

Dixie Lewis was 9 years old.

Parents

Her mother Tabitha said, "There is nothing Dixie wanted more in the world than to be on Pomona's campus and play with her pals on the softball team for Coach Ferguson. It was her dream and the culmination of so much training that she kept up with all through the lockdown. Her virtual Pomona classmates helped her navigate the two COVID semesters and we will be forever grateful to them for forging bonds with our daughter through mere screens."

Dixie was in a northbound Ford Fusion sedan with her 20-year-old boyfriend Schultz around 3.30 pm on May 25. They had gone on a brief vacation to Lake Tahoe, as per Schultz's aunt Lock Schultz Jaeger. Ross was driving the car on Route 89 near Truckee when suddenly their car crossed into the left lane and collided with a Freightliner.

Her mother also added that Dixie was a 'fighter' who would give her 150% wherever she showed up. "As an athlete, Dixie quickly drew our attention due to her talents on the field – but once she joined our team, it was her warm spirit, positive energy and big smile that won our hearts. Dixie made a lasting positive impact on our team this year, and she will forever be part of the Sagehen softball family," Dixie Lewis's softball coach Joanne Ferguson stated.

Cause of Death - Car Crash

Dixie Lewis, the daughter of Moneyball author Michael Lewis and former MTV News correspondent Tabitha Soren, has died. She was 19. The Pomona College freshman was killed alongside Ross Schultz, 20, in a head-on car collision near Truckee, California, on Tuesday, according to her family.

"We loved her so much and are in a kind of pain none of us has experienced," Lewis said in a statement to news outlet Berkeleyside. "She loved Ross, with whom she died. She loved to live and our hearts are so broken they can't find the words to describe the feeling. Her mother, Tabitha, and I, and her brother Walker and sister Quinn are going to find ways for her memory to live in her absence."

In a statement to the San Francisco Chronicle, Soren called Dixie "a fighter — and not just for herself but for everyone."

"She had a fire in her that people could feel when she walked in the room," Soren wrote in an email to the publication. "She used her intensity to bring up everyone around her and she tried so hard at everything she did. When she showed up, she was going to show up 150%."

The fatal car collision occurred on around 3:20 p.m. Tuesday when a 2014 Ford Fusion carrying Dixie and Schultz crossed the center line on Highway 89, according to an incident report from the California Highway Police obtained by PEOPLE.

A 2015 Freightliner truck traveling the opposite direction collided with the sedan head-on. Dixie and Schultz were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the truck, a 45-year-old man from Nevada, suffered minor injuries. Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision. Schultz's aunt, Locke Schultz Jaeger, told the Chronicle that said the pair — who met while attending Berkley High School together — were in the Lake Tahoe area for vacation.

"Ross loved his friends and he loved his family and, boy, did he love Dixie, who died with him," she said. "They were funny, they were charming, and they were both very smart. They were kind and they had friendships and relationships that were the deepest and most incredible bond."

His bio there says he played football and golf in high school, and that "my goal in life is to become a doctor so I can help people who are less fortunate and need help." That bio also says he is from Irmo, South Carolina, and has lived in Ohio, Tennessee, and Georgia. He graduated from high school in Columbia, South Carolina.

The only time Sobash appears in the media is in relation to his lawsuit, which was filed on Friday, May 28. The plaintiff has simply been listed as Jane Doe, with limited information available about her. According to the suit, Doe was 21 at the time and studying at California State University. The Orange County, California resident was also an Instagram influencer, with around 15,000 followers.

Philip Sobash Age

Philip Sobash's age is unknown.

Philip Sobashran ‘made-to-order’ revenge po**rn scheme

Philip Sobash, an internal medicine resident at White River Medical Center in Arkansas, met women online and offered to pay them for Nu**de images, which he promised would remain private, the suit filed in the Central District of California alleges.

But instead, Sobash, allegedly posted the images with the women’s names and other personally identifying information to Reddit and other “notorious websites” while “inciting others to anonymously harass and attack his victims,” according to the court documents. He sells the images for personal gain. But, more than that, he enjoys harming his victims,” the filing states, calling the conduct “cruel and sadistic.”

The accused “serial sexual predator” doctor is distinguished in his field. He completed his medical degree at the University of South Carolina’s College of Medicine and has already published 14 articles in leading oncology publications and other medical journals, online profiles show.

The plaintiff in the case, identified only as Jane Doe, lives in Orange County, California, and was a 21-year-old nursing student at California State University when she met Sobash on an online dating service in 2018 and began sending him Nu**de images at his request, the suit states. Sobash allegedly offered to pay Doe $75 a week for about 10 explicit videos and photos, with the promise the content would be kept private — a stipulation Doe reminded the doctor of once a week, according to the lawsuit.

“Defendant always responded with comforting statements of assurance that he would never share the photographs with anyone,” the suit alleges. Throughout the relationship, Sobash “would make very unusual requests” for the images and would send her “props like Se**x toys and nursing machines to photograph herself with and then he would direct her.”

Unbeknownst to Doe, Sobash was receiving these requests from a cadre of creeps on Reddit and other revenge porn websites, who Sobash would allegedly sell the images to after the young woman had sent them to him, the suit states. In February 2019, Doe received a direct message on Instagram alerting her of the Reddit page and realized the images she’d sent Sobash were being sold as a form of commercial porn, the lawsuit alleges.

“Her poses were actually made-to-order requests that Sobash was getting from anonymous men online and then Dr. Sobash would pretend that they were his personal requests, and he manipulated the relationship he had with Jane Doe by making these specific requests as if they were merely his own personal fetishes,” the suit alleges.

For example, a Redditor would request to see an image of Doe “f–king a dildo” and then Sobash would send Doe a text message asking to see her on her bed committing the act, the court papers allege. Defendant would provide the dildo, along with explicit instructions. Again, under the ruse that this was his own personal desire,” the lawsuit states. But in reality, he was fulfilling a commercial pornography request for one of his customers.”

Sobash would send Doe Se**x toys, such as “whips, dildos and nipple clamps” and would then give her “detailed directions on how to pose and how to stage the scene so he could sell the photographs without Jane Doe’s consent,” the lawsuit alleges. Dr. Sobash was receiving requests for particular scenarios from his ‘customers,’ and he would then act as the producer of these pornographic images, made for commercial gain, and then he would distribute them to his customers,” the records continue.

“[Doe] was unaware that she was being used as an unknowing commercial pornographic actress. When Doe confronted Sobash, he allegedly claimed that he was hacked, the filing says. More than a year later, about 300 photos and videos of Doe are still available online for purchase on multiple websites and other victims are still being exploited under the same ruse, according to the court papers.

As a result, Doe has suffered exponentially. She regularly receives unwelcome images of men masturbating to her photos and harassing messages on Instagram and Facebook that include threats to expose her to her family and her school — and even threats of harm, the suit alleges.

Because websites are not held liable for the content their users post under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, Doe is forced to spend hours each week submitting requests for copyright infringement to the sites as a last-ditch effort to get the images removed. She was forced to delete her Instagram account, which was a source of income and had 15,000 followers, and now suffers from severe anxiety and depression, the suit says.

“[Doe] suffers intrusive thoughts that the strangers on the internet who have consumed her Nu**de pictures and harass her and will harm her family. She feels hopeless about her career prospects because of the stalking by the online harassers and the threats of sending the images to her employers for the rest of her life,” the filing states.

According to the court documents, Sobash is facing another lawsuit from another victim for the same offense and he has “multiple other victims, some of whom are underage. Doe declined comment through her attorneys, who also declined to comment on the case. Sobash, or his employer, didn’t return repeated requests for comment

The last post on an Instagram account that appears to have belonged to Trujillo said "Before you shame me in public for not having a mask, ask yourself one simple question. Will this mask stop an uppercut?"

According to Colorado's COVID vaccine plan, the rollout phase that included police and workers at correctional facilities began on December 30, 2020. The Denver Sheriff Department said Trujillo worked for the Downtown Detention Center.

The facility had recorded 11 active COVID cases as of Thursday, according to data by the Denver Sheriff's Department. It's unclear whether Trujillo contracted the virus there.

Less than two weeks before Trujillo's passing, Denver Sheriff's Deputy James Herrera, 51, died of COVID-19 on May 16. Trujillo had paid tribute to Herrera by posting a picture of him as his Facebook cover photo, calling Herrera his "brother and coworker."

Wing Wa Chin is an elderly Chinese-American woman who has been a resident of Queens for over four decades. In fact, she resided in the same neighborhood where she was attacked on Wednesday, May 26. Chin had gone to the supermarket and was returning with her shopping cart when the attack took place.

The surveillance camera footage released by NYPD Crimestoppers shows the man in a green T-shirt and blue shorts, getting up from a sidewalk and walking in the direction of the woman. The next camera angle shows him confronting Chin, who can be seen dragging her large shopping cart. Meanwhile, the suspect walks away nonchalantly from the scene.

According to Chin's son, who chose not to reveal his identity, Chin was helped by the people around who called an ambulance. She was later treated for her injuries at a nearby hospital and might need surgery. "She said people around were nice enough to help her call the ambulance. They came to pick her up and stuff like that, so I'm glad people around here at least stick up for each other," her son shared with CBS2.

Hours later, the victim of an anti-Semitic assault in Manhattan spoke at another rally against hate on Long Island.

Who is Cristhian Bahena Rivera? Wiki, Biography, Age, Family, Charges, Arrested, Investigation

Cristhian Bahena Rivera Wiki - Cristhian Bahena Rivera Biography

Cristhian Bahena Rivera was convicted of first-degree murder Friday, nearly three years after Mollie Tibbetts disappeared while jogging near her Brooklyn, Iowa, home.

Over the course of the two-week trial, jurors heard that investigators identified Bahena Rivera's car circling in the area where Tibbetts was last seen and that during a marathon police interview he admitted to following Tibbetts, whom he found "hot." He allegedly fought with her and then, he said, he blacked out, later realizing he had Tibbetts' bloodied body in his trunk. He said he carried her body to the cornfield and covered it with cornstalks. Forensic experts found smears of blood with Tibbetts' DNA in his trunk.

The mandatory sentence in Iowa for first-degree murder is life in prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 15.

During closing arguments Thursday, prosecutor Scott Brown displayed to the jury a photo of a smiling Tibbetts and recounted the state's timeline of her final moments: "She crossed paths with him, and it ended her life," he said, pointing at the defendant. "She was attacked brutally by him. She was stabbed repeatedly by him. Can you imagine what that was like for her?"

Cristhian Bahena Rivera Age

Cristhian Bahena Rivera is 26 years old.

Background

Cristhian Bahena Rivera, a farmworker, stayed mostly unphased during the court session wearing headphones where interpreters helped in translating the decision of the jury to him. The verdict was announced nearly three years after the fateful day when the body of Mollie Tibbetts was found. According to earlier reports, Rivera stated 'blacking out' during the incident. While Mollie Tibbetts was going for a run, he got angry at her and 'blacked out'. The next thing he remembered is discovering a bleeding Mollie Tibbetts in his vehicle's trunk and going to bury her in a remote Iowa cornfield.

Cristhian Bahena Rivera found Guilty

The spine-chilling first-degree murder case of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts who was killed when she was out jogging is coming to a conclusion with Cristhian Bahena Rivera, unanimously convicted by jurors on Friday, May 28. The formal sentencing of the convicted 26-year-old illegal Mexican immigrant Rivera will take place on July 15.

After Friday's verdict, Tibbett's family reportedly expressed being 'relieved' and 'pleased' with the decision. Prosecutor Scott Brown further stated, "The family, and other people that are that close to it, they live with it forever," and added, "We hope that in the end... when these cases are over, we can bring a sense of justice to them, even though we would never have the ability to bring Mollie back." Bahena Rivera's attorneys will proceed to appeal the verdict which is an automatic formality for anyone who has been convicted with murder in Iowa.

Defense attorney Chad Frese noted that they are going to appeal as he said, "Can we tell you who did this? No," He added, "We can tell you that getting to know Cristhian Bahena we are very surprised that he would be the kind of person to commit a crime like this. He is nothing but a soft-spoken, respectful, kind person."

Rivera through translator has made a different claim, says a report. He has stated that two masked men kidnapped him and forced him to participate in the murder and threatened his family. Prosecutor Brown has dismissed the stance strictly saying, "There weren't two other guys. That's a figment of his imagination." He asserted, "All of the credible evidence, in this case, points at him."

While the case comes closer to the sentencing date, the defense attorney claimed that the prosecution neither had an eye-witness or a murder weapon, no crime scene or scientific evidence to back their accusations on Rivera. Rivera's statements were taken under extreme duress, as Frese claimed, "We think Cristhian's 'confession,' or statement, was inaccurate or false."

Investigation Report

Defense attorneys pointed the jury toward several other possible suspects, including Tibbetts' boyfriend, Dalton Jack. On Wednesday, Bahena Rivera took the stand in his own defense and admitted leaving Tibbetts' body in the field, but denied killing her. Instead, he said, two armed, masked men came to his home and forced him to drive them to the rural road where one of them killed Tibbetts, then ordered him to take the body to the cornfield.

The jury should have "serious doubts" about the state's case, attorney Chad Frese said.

"It’s not your job to right a wrong," he told jurors. "It’s not your job to impart vengeance. It’s not your job to bring justice for Mollie. She deserves justice, absolutely, but it’s your job to do justice, full stop."

The jury received the case for deliberations at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. They broke for the day shortly before 5 p.m. and resumed deliberating at 8:30 a.m. Friday, finally reaching a verdict shortly after their lunch break. Deliberations lasted Friday, after deliberating for a total of 7 hours, 16 minutes.

The prosecution mainly proceeded with Rivera based on the surveillance video acquired from Rivera's vehicle near Tibbetts, his statements to investigators back in August 2018, and most importantly, the matching DNA samples of Tibbetts found in Rivera's trunk. In 2018, Poweshiek County Attorney Bart Klaver had stated, "When you put this evidence together, there can be no other conclusion than that the defendant killed Mollie Tibbetts."

Rivera's contradicting claims including he blacked out after getting angry and he was kidnapped by two masked men didn't help his case as the defense attorney earlier stated, "It's like trying to prove there's not a Santa Claus. We don't know who those persons could be. Remember our client was out in the middle of a very rural location. We tried to link it up as best we could with people who could have some kind of motive, but that's very difficult to establish."

Jaime Osuna Age

Jaime Osuna is 31 years old.

Background

Prison guards did not realize that a satanist who claimed to be too violent to share a cell had killed and decapitated his prisoner during their tour. On the night of March 8 – March 9, 2019, he temporarily killed Osuna Romero with a knife, showing state documents seen by the Los Angeles Times.

The LA Times criticized the guards at Corcoran State Penitentiary and the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation (CDCR) investigation into the murder of Luis Romero. By Osuna.

While reports do not explain why the officers did not discover the body sooner, Romero’s family filed a jury case earlier this year.

“The idea that my client should file a lawsuit to answer fundamental questions about his son’s death is disheartening,” said Justin Sterling, a lawyer representing Romero’s family. According to the Associated Press, Sterling argued that guards had to check cells frequently and the crime would take hours to commit, which meant guards were not conducting proper checks.

The report’s findings were discussed by the Criminal Department, saying it was conducting “a thorough and thorough investigation from the very beginning”.

Court documents claimed that the guards did not check the cell even after a sheet was visibly covered over the bars in Romero and Osuna’s cell.

Charges

“In the early morning of March 9, 2019, Corcoran officials finally conducted a security check and looked at the other side of the sheet. “At this point, Mr. Romero was found with his head cut off and Mr. Osuna was found wearing a necklace made of Mr. Romero’s body parts.”

Kings County Deputy Executive District Attorney Phil Esbenshade said it was the most heinous murder he had ever faced in his career. “We believe the victim was conscious at least part of the time,” he said.

In deforming Romero, Osuna is said to cut one of his cellmate’s eyes, cut off one of his fingers, removed some of his ribs, and cut off part of his lung. Osuna reportedly posed with her lifeless body and wore a necklace made of body parts after Romero beheaded.
